Four Scholarship .COMs, Checked the Same Way
JapanScholarship.com, SingaporeScholarship.com, FranceScholarship.com and IrelandScholarship.com went through the same due-diligence workflow as every other name in the portfolio. Here is what each one showed, including the parts that are not perfect.

The Objective
Country scholarship names look simple. Plain words, easy to remember, and students search for scholarships every year. But a name that has been around since 2008–2012 can easily have a messy past. So before listing these four, I looked for three things: a trademark on the exact name, what the domain was actually used for, and whether its backlinks are worth anything.
It is the same order of checks behind every listing in the portfolio, and the reason screening matters before you buy.
What We Checked
Trademarks, History, Backlinks and Safety, using: USPTO · WIPO · TMview · J-PlatPat · IPOS · Wayback Machine · Ahrefs · Safe Browsing · VirusTotal.
Not every register was searched for every name. Where a check was not done, the section below says so.
JapanScholarship.com
The first one I expected to be messy. A name like this, around since 2011, sounds like something someone must have built on or buried in spam. It was neither.
- Trademark: USPTO, WIPO, TMview, J-PlatPat None found for the exact name
- Japanese script search Not done (English spelling only)
- Wayback Machine About 30 captures, 2011–2024
- What it was used for Parked pages; for a couple of years a forward to a news site
- Real website or spam None seen
- Backlinks (Ahrefs) 300+ referring domains, all junk — counted as zero
SingaporeScholarship.com
Scholarships in Singapore are closely tied to government programmes, so this one needs plain words: this domain has no connection to any government body, university or scholarship provider. It is only an exact-match name for anyone building a Singapore study-funding resource.
- Trademark: USPTO, WIPO None found for the exact name
- IPOS search for “Singapore Scholarship” No results
- Wayback Machine 67 captures, 2008–2025
- What it was used for Some later captures show a news page from a news aggregator
- Real site of its own None
FranceScholarship.com
The simplest of the four. The history is a parked page repeated for years, and nothing else.
- Trademark: USPTO, WIPO None found for the exact name
- Wayback Machine 40 captures, 2011–2024
- Homepage captures 39 of the 40, but only 5 different versions — the same parked page
- Real website or spam None seen
- Backlinks (Ahrefs) About 300 referring domains, all junk — counted as zero
IrelandScholarship.com
This is the one with a past, so it gets the longest section. The Wayback Machine shows it once hosted an official programme site run by an Irish organisation (captures from 2012 to 2025). That is not us. We have no connection to that programme, that organisation, or any government body. Any buyer should read the history themselves before deciding.
- Trademark: USPTO, WIPO, TMview Zero results for the exact name
- Irish trademark register Could not be searched by name — so we can’t say nothing is there
- Blacklist checks 8 run, all clear
- Google Safe Browsing Nothing unsafe found
- VirusTotal 0 of 66 (last scan is from 2019)
- Wayback Machine Captures 2012–2025, including the past official programme site
- Backlinks (Ahrefs) About 300 referring domains, all junk — counted as zero
How We Count Backlinks
Japan, France and Ireland each show around 300 referring domains in Ahrefs. All of them are junk, auto-generated pages. A big number made of junk is not a head start, so we count it as zero. Names are also checked for what they mean in other languages, which is why the Japanese-script gap is stated above and not hidden. More on that in why a “meaningless” name can still carry meaning.
What a Buyer Should Know
These names are worth something because they say exactly what they are. That is also the thing to be careful with. Scholarships sit close to government and university programmes, so a site on one of these domains should make it clear that it is independent.
None of the four is affiliated with any government body or scholarship provider. This page is not legal advice. Prices are set from comparable sales first, the same way as the rest of the portfolio, as explained in this pricing breakdown. Message for the current number.

Quick Answers
Are these domains affiliated with any government or scholarship provider?
No. None of the four has any connection to a government body, university or scholarship provider.
Which of the four has a past a buyer should read about?
IrelandScholarship.com. The Wayback Machine shows it once hosted an official programme site run by an Irish organisation (captures from 2012 to 2025). It is not connected to that programme.
Why are the roughly 300 backlinks counted as zero?
Japan, France and Ireland each show about 300 referring domains in Ahrefs, but all are junk auto-generated pages, so they add no real value.
How are these domains priced?
From comparable sales first, like the rest of the portfolio. Message for the current number.
