Privacy Policy
How Domain Decoded handles your information, what the cookies do, and the promise that your data is never sold, shared or used for anything else. Last updated October 22, 2026.
The short version
- I collect very little: what you send me, and (only if you accept) anonymous visit statistics.
- I don't sell, rent or trade your information, and I don't share it with anyone for their own purposes.
- I use your information only for the reasons listed below. Nothing else.
- There are no ads, no advertising cookies and no profiling on this site.
- Google Analytics cookies are set only after you click Accept. You can change your mind any time with the Cookie settings link in the footer.
1. Who is responsible for your data
This website, Domain Decoded (galibimteaz.github.io), is run by me, Imteaz (Galib) Chowdhury, from Dhaka, Bangladesh. I decide how the information described here is used. You can reach me at galibsjournal@gmail.com.
2. What I collect
Information you send me. If you use the contact form, I receive your name, email address, subject and message. If you email me, message me on WhatsApp or LinkedIn, or ask for a free LinkedIn sample post, I receive whatever you choose to share, such as your business details and goals.
Visit statistics (only if you accept). If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics records which pages you view, roughly where you are (country or city level), your device type, browser and how you arrived at the site. I do not collect your name or email through analytics, and I have turned off Google's advertising and personalization features.
Technical data from hosting. The site is hosted on GitHub Pages. Like any web host, GitHub may process technical data such as your IP address when your browser requests a page. I don't have access to a log of individual visitors.
Choices stored in your browser. The site remembers whether you accepted or declined cookies, and whether the opening animation has already played during your visit. These are stored locally on your device. See the table below.
3. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files a website stores on your device. This site sets none until you choose. If you click Accept, Google Analytics sets the cookies listed below. If you click Decline or ignore the banner, no analytics cookies are set and the Google Analytics script is not loaded.
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Lasts | When |
|---|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Google Analytics | Tells visitors apart so page-view counts are accurate | Up to 2 years | Only after you accept |
_ga_G-LBK3BEMS0E | Google Analytics | Keeps the state of your current session | Up to 2 years | Only after you accept |
dd-consent | This site (local storage) | Remembers whether you accepted or declined | Until you clear your browser data | When you make a choice |
dd-intro | This site (session storage) | Remembers that the opening animation already played | Until you close the tab | On your first page view |
Changing your mind. Click Cookie settings in the footer of any page to accept or decline again. Declining also removes any Google Analytics cookies this site set earlier. You can also delete cookies at any time in your browser settings.
No other use. I do not use cookies for advertising, tracking you across other websites or building profiles about you.
4. How I use your information
- To reply to you and deliver what you ask for. Messages and emails are used to answer your questions, give quotes, send a free sample post and carry out a service you request. (Legal basis: taking steps at your request, or my legitimate interest in running my business.)
- To understand how the site is used. Visit statistics help me see which pages are useful and fix what isn't. (Legal basis: your consent.)
- To keep records and meet legal duties. For example, invoices and payment records for work you have paid for.
I will not use your information for any other purpose, and I will not sell it or disclose it to anyone else, except where the law requires me to or where it is needed to carry out the service you asked for (see the next section).
6. International transfers
I am in Bangladesh, and the services above may process data in other countries, including the United States. By contacting me or accepting analytics you understand your information may be handled outside your own country.
7. How long I keep it
- Messages and emails: as long as needed to answer you, deliver any service and keep business records. I delete them when you ask, unless I must keep them by law.
- Analytics data: for the period set in my Google Analytics account, then it is removed automatically.
- Your cookie choice: until you clear your browser data or change it.
8. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live (for example the European Union, the United Kingdom or other regions with data-protection laws), you may have the right to:
- ask what information I hold about you and get a copy;
- have wrong information corrected;
- have your information deleted;
- withdraw your consent for analytics at any time, using Cookie settings in the footer;
- object to or ask me to limit how I use your information; and
- complain to your local data-protection authority.
To use any of these rights, email galibsjournal@gmail.com. I'll respond as soon as I can.
9. Children
This site is for business use and is not directed at children under 16. I don't knowingly collect information from them. If you think a child has sent me information, tell me and I will delete it.
10. Security
The site is served over HTTPS and I keep my accounts protected. No system is completely secure, so I can't guarantee absolute security, but I take reasonable care of the information you give me.
11. Links to other sites
This site links to other websites such as LinkedIn, X, Substack, CircleID, Instagram, NamePros, Tumblr, Bluesky and domain marketplaces. I'm not responsible for their content or privacy practices, so please read their policies.
12. Changes to this policy
If I change how I handle information, I will update this page and the date below. Last updated: October 22, 2026.
